Bus Engine Decklid Lock Mechanism - 1955-65

Screws onto the inside of the engine door/decklid of your bus. This is the type of mechanism used for buses using a church key to open up the engine compartment. The outside of the engine door will use part # 261827575 which is the decklid key cover. TIP: This mechanism is held on by 4 screws (2 long and 2 short). When removing your old mechanism, be sure to soak the screws with a good penetrant in order to assist in breaking loose these screws as they are usually well rusted to the decklid. It's very easy to strip the head of the screws.
