Finally, there is a solution for the lack of steering boxes in the world. New steering boxes from BBT in Belgium. These are great looking units that fit 1967 and earlier busses. Complete with instructions. Just to make sure we take care of the skeptics. These are not "those Brazilian steering boxes" that have been out in the past. These are not "those TRW steering boxes" that don't fit just right in your bus. These are new castings with completely remanufactured shafts and housings so that your stock steering mounting clamp will work as well as your stock pitman arm. Before we began to carry these, we did some homework and even got a couple of those Brazilian and TRW steering boxes that have been out in the past (and still are in some places). The difference was slight in some aspects but huge in others. Slight, in the sense of filling points being repositioned. Huge, in the sense of shaft size difference, casting around the shaft housing being a larger outer diameter along with a larger shaft and not allowing the original pitman arm to fit. Huge, in the sense that the overall length of the steering column was over an inch shorter than the original units. In the end, we were convinced, aside from the obvious, that these were in fact new AND not the typical reproduction units found out there.
