It's Thanksgiving weekend here in the U.S. Lots of folks in the U.S. had their fill of turkey a couple of days ago, then went shopping the next day and some are still shopping. For us VW crazies out there, including me, I have to give thanks to these cars, bus or bug or ghia or kubel or whatever you might have. These cars, running or not, have been a source of joy, inspiration to children all over the world. Wait, that's what uncle Walt said about Disneyland in 1955. Okay, these cars have been a source of joy as well as countless headaches, bloody knuckles, long road trips, breakdowns, profitability, loss, but most of all, they have been the key to meeting SO many new friends the world over. From the big apple down to Virginia, and from the guys in Omaha to the nice folks in Washington (where Dave's 59 ghia came from), to the brotherhood throughout California and onto the land of the rising sun, from the guys down under and onto Bob and the gang in Belgium, from the guys in the U.K. to our latest friends along the German countryside, Dave and I would just like to thank everyone for the memories, hospitality, and the cool cars that have brought us all together. We have met so many new friends and look forward to making many more.
